March 23, 1942 ~ March 12, 2025
Calvin Keith Jones passed away Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, in his 83rd year. Born in Middlesex County, Ontario Calvin, better known as Keith, began his life on the family farm. 1 of 7 children Keith grew up around a close-knit community and bonded with his Father (Morley) through racing Standardbred race horses and running MMK Jones Farms LTD.
In 1963 Keith married his wife Judy and then 15 years later moved to the province of Saskatchewan to pursue their dream of Farming in Western Canada. During this time Keith and Judy developed Jones Transport with operations all over North America. Over those 15 years Keith and Judy welcomed 5 beautiful children. Barbara (deceased), Melvin, Scott, Margaret, and Elaine (deceased). Balancing farm operations, trucking routes/deliveries, and a busy family was a challenge that Keith fondly remembered and regularly pulled wisdom from. In 2004 with Judy loaded in his truck – Keith found himself relocated to Sturgeon County, Alberta where he resided on Coronado Ranch. Continuing to Truck, Ranch and Farm until 2016.
Keith enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Often, he was found out with the livestock, enjoying the company of a garden, and cheering on live Rodeo or MMA on TV. In 1993 Keith became a grandfather for the first time to Chevlin (Barbara). Over the next decade their family grew by 3 more grandchildren Chase (Barbara), Zachary (Melvin), and Nicole (Melvin). Although this was not the end of their growing family. In 2009 Margaret married Dave, bringing his children Cailey and Jordan into the family. However, the family has continued to grow! In 2020 Grandson Jordan with wife Danika welcomed Keith’ s first Great Grandson Archer in 2020 with two more sons (Swade and Halston) following shortly after. Grandson Chevlin welcomed Desirae and her daughter Charlotte into the family in 2023. 2024 Granddaughter Nicole with Husband Kirk welcomed Keith’s first Great Granddaughter Zoey. Now Chevlin and Desirae are expecting Keith’s fifth Great Grandchild in the summer of 2025.
Keith was a captivating storyteller, energizing comedian, and forever looking for the next best land deal!
