Ken Torrens          

July 06, 1946—January 21, 2018

Ken Torrens born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan passed away suddenly on January 21, 2018 at the age of 71 years.  Ken is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette; children, Anita Lennie, Travis Torrens, Les (Melissa) Torrens, and Shane Knysh; grandchildren, Daniel Gillett, Tea’ Lennie, Tristan Torrens, Hannah Torrens, Aden Torrens, Syan Yoner Knysh; great grandchildren, Ava J Gillett, and Tiare’ Makalita Gillett; sisters, Marion Heitman, Vivian Reddick, Karen Gordash,  and Lynda Kerekes; sister in-law, Vivian Torrens; brother, Bev (Ingrid) Torrens; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his first wife, Lynda Pettit Ferland. He was predeceased by  his parents, Tom and Vivian Torrens; brothers, Bob Torrens, Ron Torrens, and infant brother, Gerald; infant sister, Shirley; brother in-laws, Henry Heitman, Paul Gordash, and John Kerekes; daughter in-law, Shannon Yoner Knysh; and nephews, Mike Heitman and Brad Kerekes.

Ernest “Ernie” Steve Kuffner

April 1, 1966 – June 23, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ernest “Ernie” Kuffner announce his sudden passing June 23, 2018 at the young age of 52 years.  Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Trudy; children, Breanne, Julia (Jeff) Hurst, Brent (Alex) Gauthier and Joel Gauthier; his grandchildren, his pride and joy, Jonah, Jocelyn, Chloe, Dax, Evangeline, Jade and Jewel.

Ernie was born April 1, 1966 in Regina, Saskatchewan spending his youth in Cudworth, SK with his many sisters; Gail, Nadine, Marian, Natalie and Diane.

At 17 Ernie joined the military in 1983 as a PPCLI (Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry), he was then posted to Esquimalt, BC, then Baden, Germany, and in 1989 to Winnipeg, MB where he obtained his remuster to Military Intelligence. Once training was completed he was posted to Kingston, ON, where he met his wife Trudy and their great circle of friends Dean, Wayne, Dan, Glen, Carla, Derrick just to name a few of many, and held numerous potlucks.

Ernie and Trudy were posted to Cold Lake in 1993, where they managed to raise a wonderful family of four and embedded themselves into a new community and circle of friends while Ernie completed 2 tours to Italy.  It is here that it became evident that Ernie was an avid outdoorsman and family man. 

In 2000 Ernie was posted to Edmonton, which included a tour to Bosnia, Afghanistan and 1 final tour to Italy (Naples), Ernie retired in 2014 after 31 years of service, changing one uniform for another and joined the Corp of Commissionaires.

He was happiest being with family especially his grandkids.  Ernie also enjoyed spending time fixing cars, working on the acreage and with his hunting buddies especially Cy (Eileen) who became his brother in scouting, fishing and hunting.

David Adam Radke

April 29, 1946 – May 10, 2018

David Adam Radke passed on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Redwater, Alberta at 72 years of age. David is survived by his daughter; son, Adam Radke and his children, Dakota, Dallas and Lindsay; siblings, Rose Radke and her 7 children, Shirley (Bob) Jordan and their 4 kids, Linda (Henri) Herbin and their 4 kids, Debi (Berry) Lundy and their 3 kids, Kevin (Wendy) and their child, Lyle (Julia) Radke and their child; sister in-laws, Vita Radke and Joyce Radke; 24 nieces and nephews; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

David was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Sophie (nee Pich) Radke; granddaughter, Ashley Radke; brothers, Fred (Hazel) Radke, Richard Radke; 5 aunts and uncles.

James “Jim” Howard Turnbull

September 17, 1948 – May 28, 2018

James” Jim” Howard Turnbull, born in Deloraine, Manitoba passed away suddenly on Monday, May 28, 2018 at age 69 years. He is survived by his children, James (Connie), and Karen (Krys); his grandchildren, Trinity, Ella Marie, Nolan and Maverick; his sister, Linda (Dave); brother, Ron; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends. 

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mina Turnbull; siblings, Doug, George, and Faye.

Emilien Joseph Louis Rochette

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Joseph Rochette on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the age of 75 years.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by the mother of his daughters, Olga Rochette, his daughters, Tracy (Dave) Andrews, and Laura (Gord) Rochette, stepdaughter Kathy (Dave) Rochette, stepson Richard Rochette, grandchildren Bryce, Ashley, Breanne, Jared and Jakob; siblings: Ronald, Jean-Guy, Georgette, Denise and Nicole; as well as numerous extended family and friends.  Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Germaine (nee Beaupre) and Zenophile Rochette, brother Denis and sister Paulette.

George Byfield Collins III

September 27, 1957 ~ April 28, 2018

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of George Byfield Collins III, of Fort McMurray Alberta at 60 years of age. George died on April 28, 2018 with his loving wife Karen and sister Georganna by his side. George is survived by his wife, Karen; sister, Georganna; mother, Grace; two daughters, Charity (Tony) Wood and Victoria (Eric) Robbins; and 4 grandchildren, Jordan and MacKenzie Wood, Lillith and Kaylee Robbins.

George was born September 27, 1957 in Chateauroux, France as his father served in the US Air Force. George was raised in various locations around the US but mainly in the Texas Gulf Coast area. George had a full and amazing life, positively touching many lives along his journey, and making many friendships everywhere he went. Following his high school graduation in Alvin, Texas he embraced a long and rewarding 40 year career with Team Industrial Services Ltd.

George is preceded in death by his father, George Byfield Collins Jr. of New York, New York; his sister, Christina Hiker Byfield of Denver, Colorado; his grandparents, George Byfield Collins Sr. and Alice Marie (nee Newman) Collins and Clarence Hopkins and Lou Edith (nee Jones) Hopkins.

Brian McLean

January 24, 1943 – April 14, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Brian McLean announces his passing on April 14, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Brian is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; daughters, Tammy (Rob), Candace (David), and Jodi; grandchildren, Andrea (Cody), Jenessa, Kyle, Chase, and Grayson; several in-laws and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased in death by his daughter, Sara.

A special thank you to the staff at the Redwater Health Centre and Dr. Botha for their care.

As per Brian’s wishes, no service will be held, and cremation has taken place.

Robert (Bob) Dallas Putnam

February 24, 1933 ~ May 6, 2018

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert (Bob) Dallas Putnam on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 85 years of age. Robert was survived by his brother, Calvin (Ferne); sister in-law, Florence; nieces and nephews, Robert, Randy, Debbie, Gord, Penny, Linda, Ben, and Carla; as well as extended family and friends.

Pauline Skawronik (nee Chockan)

November 28, 1930 – April 24, 2018

It is with love and fond memories that we announce the passing of Pauline Skawronik, she passed away on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 87 years of age. Pauline was born November 28,1930 in Coronado, AB to Steve and Ketrayna (nee Horbal) Chockan. She was the youngest of six siblings; Dave, Bill, Eva, Lucy, and Alice. School, Church, and family were very important to her along with the lifestyle of being a farmers wife. A special thanks to Spruce View Manor in Gibbons for her 18 years of comfortable living. She had her final residence at the Youville Nursing home in St. Albert.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Bruce) Macdonald; sons, Richard (Wendy), and Kenneth (Trish); grandchildren, Sharla, Andrew, Jamie, Shaina, Shauna, Kyle, Amanda, and Jerry; great grandchildren, Ryland, Alice, Kaydence, Brody, Leo, and one more on the way; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

George Hubert Bulger

November 11, 1935 – April 22, 2018

George was born on November 11, 1935 in Summerside, PEI. He was one of 14 children born to Isabelle (nee McAllar) and Michael Bulger. He joined the Canadian Air Force at the age of 17 and spent the next 22 years in the Forces. He married Rachel Meunier on July 4, 1961 in Morinville, AB where they raised their family and built their life together. After George retired from the Forces as a Warrant Officer in 1974 he began his second career where he followed in the footsteps of his father and became a master carpenter. However, his most cherished title was “PéPère”.

George is survived by his wife, Rachel; his four children, Charmaine, Cheryl (Perry), Trent (Linda), and Trevor (Amanda); his grandchildren, Derek (Kassandra), Ashley, Koah (Cody), Teirra (Brad), Shaena (Curtis), Keyen, Ryler, Shane, Rebecca, Megan (Ryan), and Katelyn (Derrick); his great grandchildren, Grayer, Jori, Greyson, Charlotte, and Alaina; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

He will be forever missed and loved by all of his family and friends!! We love you George…Dad…PéPère.
