It is with great sadness that the family of Donald “Don” Steven Vivyurka of Edmonton, Alberta, announce his passing early Monday morning, September 1, 2025 at the age 79 years.

Don will lovingly be remembered by his brother Albert, nephews, Douglas, Phillip (Sue), and Terry (Elan); his sister Joyce, niece Leslie (Gordon); and nephews of late Wendy; Shaun (Courtney), Justin (Candis), and Matthew (Christina), as well as numerous other family members and cherished friends.

Don is predeceased by his parents, John and Theora Vivyurka and younger sister Wendy Guay (Nee Vivyurka.)

Don gave to multiple local charities in his life, such as The Salvation Army, Save the Children, The Bissell Centre, Winifred Stewart Foundation, University Hospital Foundation, Alberta Council Foundation and The Canadian Red Cross. In lieu of flowers a donation to honour Don to any of these charities would be deeply appreciated.

The family wishes to express its’ deepest gratitude to Sturgeon Memorial for the compassionate care and professional services given us during our time of loss.
