December 4, 1961 – May 10, 2026

It is with deep sadness that the family of Douglas “Doug” Boddy announce his passing on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the age of 64 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Doug will be remembered as a kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. He had a natural gift for lifting others up, always ready with a smile, a joke, or a story to brighten someone’s day. Whether behind the wheel or in conversation, Doug made people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for.

Doug leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Sheila, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. He will be deeply missed by his children, Jackie (Richard) Myran, Mike (Beth) Boddy, and Anna Marie Boddy. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Nick, Jocekyn (Chad), Jacob, Odin, Myles, Olivia, Makala, Logan, and Gregory, and a cherished great-grandfather to little Clancy. He will be missed by his sister, Christine (Joe) Owen; his brothers, Dwayne, Robert, and John Boddy; his extended family member, Nicole Natoe; many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly; as well as numerous extended family and friends. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in each of them.

He was predeceased by his mother, Edna (Dick) Henderson (nee Hamilton) and his father, Douglas (Sandy) Boddy.

Doug’s legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and quiet strength. The impact he made on those around him will be carried forward in the stories shared, the lessons remembered, and the love he gave so freely.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and kindness shown during this difficult time.
