May 28, 1947 ~ June 12, 2022

It was in Calgary, Alberta May 28, 1947 mom came into the lives of Earl and Francis Duxbury. She was the oldest of the bunch. There was Marilyn (mom), Patsy, Susan, Bonnie, Donald, Robert and David.

At the age of 16 she moved to Edmonton, while working in the service industry, she met the love of her life, Arnold Edwards. They married in December 19, 1969 and welcomed 2 children, Sharmaine and Danah. Arnold passed in 2009 and during then Marilyn was living back in Calgary. Life was simple Marilyn was considered by all a social butterfly. Those who encountered her never forgot her beautiful smile and conversations. Her favourite pass time would be going for breakfast at Nellies in Calgary and meeting people.

On October 9, 2020 Marilyn went to live with her oldest daughter, Sharmaine in Gibbons, Alberta. She was in her happy place taking her scooter to the local restaurant, Mainstreet Public House for breakfasts and meeting others. She made many friends along the way.

Sunday, June 12^th at 10:47 am an Angel called her name and guided her to the Heavens above. Marilyn passed away peacefully at Foyer Lacombe – Covenant care in St. Albert, surrounded by her loved ones.
