December 3, 1945 ~ December 10, 2024

Norman went home to be with his Lord on December 10th, 2024, having just turned 79. He is survived by his wife Akram; his two children Nathanael (Melissa), and Joanna (Abiy); granddaughter Eliana; and his sister Anna May Ling.

Norman Law was born on December 3rd, 1945 to Julian Law and Chan Loon Wha in Kuching, Sarawak. He came to Edmonton, Alberta on a scholarship where he completed his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alberta in 1970. He started searching for “the meaning of life” in 1974, and met and received the Lord Jesus as his savior on November 1st, 1976.

In 1981, he met and married Barbara (née Ford) with whom he raised two children, Nathanael and Joanna. Barbara predeceased Norman on December 26, 2005.

In 2018, Norman met Akram Akbari. They married on June 11th, 2018 in Perth, Australia, and moved back to Sherwood Park.

Norman loved cooking, eating good food, gardening and travelling with his family, and grew to enjoy writing poems. Following his retirement from forty-four years in the oil and gas industry, he authored four books comparing the teachings of major world religions (Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Sikhism) with the teaching of the Christian Bible to share the love and gospel of God.
