June 11, 1940 ~ April 7, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia (Gail) Adlem on Thursday, April 7, 2026 at the age of 85 years.

She leaves behind her daughter, Susan (Luigi) Maione; sons, David (Lizz) Adlem and Brian (Tess) Adlem; son-in-law, Rob Robinson; 11 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Daniels, Judy Lightfoot, and Ellen (Bryan) McLeod who will all miss her greatly; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Gail was predeceased by her husband, Doug; daughter, Diane Adlem; brother, Ron Fraser; and parents, Bill and Mary (nee Ames) Fraser. 

Gail was born June 11, 1940, in Kenora, Ontario. She grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, which is where she was married and had her 4 children.  Life moved the family to many places through the prairies until finally settling in the Edmonton area.

She retired in 2005 after which she and Doug became snowbirds, travelling to Yuma Arizona in the winter for many years. At home in the summer, she enjoyed golf, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

For the last five years she resided at Three Robins Active Living Community in Stony Plain, Alberta. She absolutely loved living there and being part of the community whether it was part of the kitchen committee, knitting or playing cards or any other social events. We learned over the last little while just how much she was loved there. This has been a source of great comfort for our family during this difficult time.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Misericordia and Sturgeon Hospitals which took such amazing care of her in her last weeks.

As per Gail’s wishes there will not be a service.
