June 11, 1944 ~ October 17, 2025

It is with heavy hearts the family of Raymond James Scott announce his passing on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the age of 81 years. Ray was born in Whales in 1944, he grew up in Edmonton, Alberta.

In 1981 he married Dixie Detchon in Sherwood Park, Alberta. It was there that they had their one and only daughter, Kelly. Ray always looked forward to going to visit his farm family in Lloydminster, Alberta. Ray was always up for an old western movie. He appreciated a good hockey or ball game. His passion was hunting, fishing, and enjoyed travelling. Ray was often telling jokes and loved making people laugh. He was always social, his favourite thing was spending time with his buddies, they meant so much to him.

Ray will be missed by so many, especially his daughter, Kelly (Jeff); siblings, Paul (Mary) and Dianne (Dave); as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Ray was predeceased by his loving wife, Dixie; his parents; brother, Dale; in-laws, Annie and Earl; as well as countless friends and family along the way.
