In Memory
Dec 14, 1940 – Mar 16, 2020
Bob passed away 3 years ago peacefully in his sleep, after courageously living with Parkinson (PSP) for over 10 years. He is loved and remembered daily by his wife, Rita; sons, Gerald (Katherine) and Ronald (Guiselle); his grandchildren, Janelle (Manny), Matthew (Anisha), Marcel, Gerald and Solange; his great granddaughters, Astin, Saveah and Sydney; his bother, Gaston (Irene); and sister-in-law, Aline. Lastly, Bob leaves behind many nieces and nephews, in-laws, cousins and relatives along with all of their families whose love is felt by all.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Emile and Veronique Parent, along with his brother Denis and his in-laws Lucille and Lucien Bergevin.
Bob was a devoted and loving Husband, Dad, Pepere, Friend and “Uncle Bob” was always ready to help or listen to anyone who was in need. As a friend of Bill W. he lived his life “One Day at a Time” and worked his “program” daily to the best of his ability. He had a strong disposition and was self disciplined something he acquired from his time in the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) while stationed on Vancouver Island. He enjoyed having coffee with family and friends, visiting and playing cards. Bob’s hobbies included traveling, working around the yard, hunting and he liked to play hockey, baseball, dancing and specialized in rocking babies to sleep.
Lastly, Rita and the family would like to extend their thanks as we are forever grateful to the staff and caregivers at Capitol Care “Dickinsfield Extended Care” who were so caring, diligent and kind in supporting Bob while he was a resident.
