December 3, 1955 – December 28, 2024

Through the care and compassion of MAID Bob passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 69 years.

Bob is survived by his daughters Chantelle (Ryan) and their children Oceana & Kingdon and Michelle (Rob) and their children Jaden & Maddox; brother Walter (Dini); sisters (Betty) Marlin, Shirley (Maurice) and Lillian (Ken); as well as many other extended family.

He was predeceased by his faithful pup Charli; wife Irene; parents Mike and Anne; and brother Steve.

Bob saw most of North America from behind the wheel of a big rig hauling freight, equipment, logs and in the oil patch. He travelled from the Pacific to the Atlantic and the Arctic to the Gulf of Mexico. He also worked at various construction jobs including the bridge spanning the MacKenzie River. He loved the outdoors and was happiest enjoying nature while camping, fishing and hunting.

The family thanks the doctors and nursing staff of Unit 18 at Sturgeon Community Hospital and MAID. Special thanks to nephews Lenny & Jared and good friend Morel as well as many others he made while out walking Charli at Paul Kane Park in Edmonton. We are grateful for the friendship and kindness you gave Bob and for checking in on him from time to time.

Cremation has taken place. As per Bob’s wishes his ashes will set sail in the summer.
