March 7, 1950 ~ February 10, 2026

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of William Lloyd Moar of Stony Plain, Alberta announce his passing on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the age of 75 years.

Bill was born on March 7, 1950 in Selkirk, Manitoba, to Howard and Emily Moar. He resided in Cloverdale, Manitoba for many years, following which he moved to Inwood, Manitoba and would then venture onto British Columbia before finally settling in Alberta.

Bill will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his special fur baby Little Lady and love of his life his wife, Arlene; his children, Angie McCann (Michael), Derek Marchak (Jen), Dwayne Marchak (Terra-Lynn); his grandchildren who he loved dearly, Alexis, Hailie, Riley, Colby, and Breah; his sister who he was so close with Cindy Pasula; his sister, Terry Kurtz (Jack); his brothers-in-law, Lyle Willis (Karen), Gary Willis (Lynn), Mark Willis, and Chris Willis; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Emily (nee Green) Moar; his brother, Ronald Moar; his sister, Naomi Picard; brother-in-law and best friend, Dallas Pasula; niece, Nadine Moar; and nephew, Austin Willis.

Bill had a love for nature and was an avid hunter. He volunteered with Spruce Grove Fish and Game Club as well as Ducks Unlimited.

He had many jobs over the years, one of which took him to Kuwait to help fight the fires and restore equipment. He also had a number of sales jobs over the years from selling insurance, to selling new homes, and being named top salesman for Chrysler. Along with being named top salesman at Chrysler he was also a part of the Chrysler Senate. His favourite job of them all which he did for several years was most definitely being a truck driver enjoying the freedom of the open road.

At Bill’s request he has been cremated and will be taken home to Manitoba this summer.

The family would like to thank the University of Alberta Hospital Trauma Center and the ICU Center for their compassionate care provided to Bill, the nurses went above and beyond to help assure that the family was comfortable at all times.
