It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Forest Guy Tillapaugh, who after a long battle with addiction, passed away quietly on July 16, 2018 at the age of 52. Our family is grieved at his loss, but confident that the darkness that consumed him has now been overcome by the glorious light of heaven.
Forest is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Sue (nee Maurier); his daughters, Rogelle (Joel) Himschoot, Sylvie (Kyle) Coxen; his 5 grandchildren, Dakota, Marissa, Dana, Keira and Cohen; his sisters, Stacey (Troy) Lloyd and Tara (Rob) Hardstaff; his father and mother-in-law, Richard and Irene Maurier; his sister-in-law, Monique (Robert Cyr); brother-in-law, Marcel Maurier (Cindy); as well as by many nephews, nieces, uncles, and aunts, namely his very special Aunt, Valerie Kennedy; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Born in Calgary, to Russell and Sheila Tillapaugh, both predeceased, Forest lived in Calgary, Lethbridge, St. Albert, Morinville and most recently in Legal, with his wife, Sue. He enjoyed an abundant life, full of love and blessings. Forest was generous with his love, regularly offering his time and service to anyone in need. He was a social butterfly who would frequently call his friends “just to touch base”. Forest loved sports such as curling, golf, and baseball. He was also an avid crib player. He was known to make friends in all of life’s activities. Forest was a man of God, who would offer prayer to family, friends, and even complete strangers. The bond he shared with us, his family, and with many others is stronger than that which overtook him in the end.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Forest’s life on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:30 am at Morinville Baptist Church, 431, Grandin Dr, Morinville, AB. Pastor Greg Fraser from The Father’s House Church will be officiating.
