It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, daughter, sister, wife and best friend, Kimberly Ann Biro (nee Pearce) on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the age of 59 years.

Kim fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Through it all, she remained positive and chose to live life to the fullest, spending time with family and friends making memories that we will all cherish forever. She was the most caring and fun-loving person, you could always count on her to lend an ear, give a helping hand, or offer words of advice and encouragement. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Kim was born in Edmonton and grew up in St. Albert, while spending many fun weekends in Alberta Beach at her family’s cabin. Kim settled in Morinville in 1986, and was an active member of the community, where she proudly raised her boys, Kolton and Landon. Kim met her husband Blaine in 2011. Their loved flourished over the next 12+ years, travelling and enjoying great times at the lake. Kim followed in her mother’s footsteps and had a successful career in banking, where she committed to over 31 years of industry service (Credit Union/Scotia Bank), before retiring in 2018 . Kim’s happy place was at the lake campground where she enjoyed gardening, playing games, golfing, crafting, and socializing with their many friends.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Blaine; sons, Kolton Massey and Landon Massey; parents, Ron and Marjory Pearce; sister, Candice (Allen) Brent; nephew, Emerson Brent; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

We wish to thank Dr. Anil Abraham Joy and the staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for the care they provided to Kim and her family.
