Doug Kincade of Morinville, Alberta passed away on April 1, 2020 on his 70^th birthday. Doug was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Harry and Golda Kincade he was one of their seven children. Doug will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Brenda and their children, Shawn Kincade (Annette), Sheila (Frank) Lavoie, Kathy Kincade and Karen (Kevin) Sarsiat. He will be loved and missed by nine grandchildren, Kylie Kincade, Tyler Kincade; Damion Kincade – Lavoie, Logan Lavoie, Jayden Lavoie, Tristan Lavoie and Ethan Lavoie; Leah Kincade – Fink and Soon to be Baby Boy Sarsiat. Doug was survived by and will be forever loved and missed by five of his siblings, Ron (Pat) Kincade, Jolayne Fopp, Larry (Linda) Kincade, Karen (Darryl) Ackroyd and Dona Mills. Doug is fondly remembered and loved by his Mother in Law, Pearl Bratiuk. Doug is also survived by a very large extended family who will miss, love, and fondly remember him. Doug has many special friends and co-workers who will miss him. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Golda (nee Bennett) Kincade and his greatly loved sister, Rita Allard. Doug loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed his life fishing, hunting, teaching others to waterski and playing cards and table games with family and friends.The family would like to Thank the Staff at the Royal Alex Hospital Satellite Dialysis Unit, Dr. Michalska, Dr. Pisani, Dr Deved and Dr. Markland for the excellent support, care and compassion they offered to Doug.

It is with great sadness that the family of Earl “Joe” Joseph O’Neil announce his sudden passing on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the age of 61 years. Joe was born in Alder Point ,Cape Breton on March 19, 1958. He lived in Toronto for many years and moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta 10 years ago. Joe will be sadly missed by his mother, Ann of Alder point; father, Earl of Lower Sackville; his 5 brothers, John (Carolyn), Jim, William (Holly), Daniel (Stacy) and Ryan (Sef); his 5 sisters, Dianne, Marie, Theresa, Helen (Lorne), and Julie (Jackie); lots of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Joe was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn; grandparents, John and Mary Stamper and Leo and Evelyn O’Neil; and nephew, Corey.

With hearts that are broken we announce the sudden and tragic death of our beloved son Jason. He was taken away from all who loved him on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Whistler, British Columbia. Jason was a father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and dear friend to many. Jason will forever be loved and remembered by his son, Jevan; parents, Elwyn and Nola; sisters, Megan (Raf) and Jessica (Brett); brother, Jeremy (Bailey); boba, Jean Miskew; nephews, Sam, Seth, Saul, Devlin, Lyle, Olis, and Bode; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends. Jason was born on May 20, 1972 in Hinton, Alberta. Jason attended playschool in Beaumont, following playschool he went into a french immersion program from kindergarten to grade eleven. When Beaumont didn’t have a high school he moved to J.H Picard for grades ten and eleven. In 1990 he followed his dream of playing baseball and went to Hillsboro, Oregon for grade twelve. The pursuit of his dream brought him to Albertson College in Boise, Idaho where he also became a member of the ski racing team. Upon his return to Edmonton in 1992 he attended the U of A to study French, Russian History and Religion. Jason was a good student who was fluent in French and blessed with a great athletic ability that allowed him to excel at baseball and skiing. In April 1996 Jason decided to leave school and open his first Two Guy’s with Pipes store, in 2000 the store was moved to the West Edmonton Mall. Jason’s son Jevan was the love of his life but he was unable to always be there for him, but one of the cherished memories they shared was being able to take in the Vancouver Olympics together in recent years. Like so many people Jason struggled with mental health issues and a drug addiction. He went to rehab several times but didn’t succeed for long, his struggle with his illness led him to jail and various assault charges. He was caught in a system that failed him by not providing the help he needed. Despite his struggles he opened a second store in Whistler to be close to the mountains, so he could enjoy his passion of Skiing. While there he bought himself a Harley which he enjoyed riding on the open highways of British Columbia and Alberta. Jason was a good friend to many, had a remarkable memory and a kind heart, he was generous to a fault. He loved his dogs especially the Pug, Copernicus and shepherd cross, Max. He was ahead of his time in regards to the cannabis industry and was overjoyed with the legalization. We will forever miss him. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Donald Michael Hittinger of Alcomdale/Mearns in Sturgeon County, Alberta passed away March 1, 2020 at the age of 60 years, 32 days after being diagnosed with cancer. Don will be sadly and lovingly remembered for his love for his family and the great outdoors; namely camping, fishing and hunting. Don is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Hittinger (nee Snyder); children, Michael, Alicia, and Cameron; siblings, Barb, Irene (Mike), Bernie (Denise), Marylynn (Kirk), and Brent (Rhonda); as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Don was predeceased by his parents, Bernard “Pat” and Sophie (nee Dozorec) Hittinger, mother in-law, Margaret “Jean” Snyder, and niece, Angela Conrad.

How Frieda met Arnold:

In the late fifties following teacher’s college, Frieda was a school teacher in a one room school at Long Lake School No. 3037, Saskatchewan. Arnold was working seismic in northern Saskatchewan. When he returned home to Senlac for a break, his mother suggested that he drive to Long Lake and take out the young teacher. He did as his mother advised. The story is that Arnold, who had a pilot license, would soon after buzz her little school disrupting her classes because the children would run outside to watch the rare sight of seeing an airplane flying around. Only after she would wave to him from the steps would he fly away.

Mom often told us that she was attracted to the blue eyed Scottish Canadian farm boy because he could play several instruments (he played in a band), he was funny, he had an education (grade 12), he could fly an airplane and had dreams of living in the north, and he was handsome.

Ten months after their August 1958 marriage in Belbutte, Sask. son Scott was born. This followed a yearly schedule of three more children: Kimberly, Stuart, and Curtis.

Life for the two of them began in Uranium City, Sask., then Hay River, NWT, then High Level, Athabasca, and, finally, Westlock, Alberta.

She was an avid reader, loved music (playing and listening), current events, followed politics and actively participated in various capacities during the election process.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, needle point, baking and travel. She was a fan of Coronation Street and liked movies and documentaries of all types.

Following her retirement after 38 years with Scotia Bank, Westlock, she maintained a busy social life staying in touch with her many friends and family in person and via Facebook.

Frieda passed from cancer and associated complications in the early hours of February 20, 2020 with her sons, Scott and Curtis; grandkids, Kelsey, Carson, Maclean, Simon, Clare, and Sienna; great grandchildren, Matreya and Leighton by her side. Her daughter Kim and great grandson Raydon were unable to be with her given the sudden short notice.

There will be no funeral as per her wish but a memorial will be held in Senlac, Saskatchewan later this summer where she will be interred alongside her husband and son.

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Rose Stanzeleit announce her passing on December 23, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Linda was born in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan on November 22, 1949 to Rose and Ernest. Linda moved to Alberta in 1968 and lived and worked in the Greater Edmonton Area. She will lovingly be remembered by her brother, Eric (Bernice); sister, Helena (Lloyd); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Rose (nee Borzel) and Ernest Stanzeleit; sisters, Anne and Judy; and sister in-law, Doris.

There will be no Funeral Service, a family gathering will be held at a later date.

Jeannine will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Sonny; their children, Joseph, Madeleine (Wayne), Laura (Alasdair), and Stephen.
